Meet Dr Fiona Head
Dr Fiona Head fulfilled the role of Medical Director at the CCG throughout the organisation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, is a prominent public health doctor and talented leader. She trained as a GP locally and will continue to practice as a local GP alongside this role.
Dr Head brings a wealth of valuable experience having worked in the local area for a number of years, including as Deputy Director for Public Health in Bedfordshire and later as System Transformation Director for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. She set-up and continues to lead a system-wide team working to reducing health inequalities and maintains an interest in the wider environment and health.
Dr Head has recently completed a Fellowship as an East of England ARC Implementation Fellow and will continue to work on how Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICS most effectively uses evidence and research, particularly that produced locally, to make a difference in health outcomes for all people in our population.
Dr Head is Chief Medical Officer.
