Meet Dr Sarah Hughes
Dr Sarah Hughes has worked in mental health and criminal justice for 30 years. Having initially trained as a social worker, Dr Hughes undertook her professional doctorate focused on women leaders and resilience.
As Chief Executive of the Centre for Mental Health, Dr Hughes works with the UK government and high-profile international organisations on mental health policy and practice. Having been the Chief Executive of CPSL Mind she knows the area of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough very well.
Dr Hughes holds a number of trustee and board roles for organisations such as the Agenda Alliance, Football Association and City Mental Health Alliance. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts; Salzburg Global; Zinc Academy and the Mental Health Collective. In 2019 Sarah also joined the prestigious Sciana Health Leaders Network.
Dr Hughes is a Non-Executive Member, Chair of the People Board and Remuneration Committee, Freedom to Speak Up Guardian and Wellbeing Guardian.
