This service helps anyone experiencing moderate to severe or complex mental health difficulties after experiencing a perinatal loss.

Antenatal Results and Choices helps expectant parents who will get the news that their baby may not be developing as expected. 

Bliss

Bliss is a national charity for babies born premature or sick. They have a page specifically about uncertainty and loss.

Support from EACH for anyone significantly impacted by the loss of a child.

Miscarriage Association

Miscarriage Association is here to help you you’ve been affected by miscarriage, molar pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy.

SANDS

SANDS work to support anyone affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. Cambridgeshire SANDS also hold regular peer support meetings with trained befrienders.

Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye provides comprehensive information, advice, support and more to anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby, at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.

Teddy's Wish

Teddy's Wish provides care and support for families grieving the loss of a baby.  

Tommy's

Tommy's have information and support for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby, whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, or termination for medical reasons.

How to talk to children about death and dying

There are a few national charities that offer support and guidance on talking to children about death and dying.

  • Child Beareavement UK helping children, young people, parents and families to rebuild their loves when a child grieves or a child dies
  • Hospice UK has a page dedicated to how to talk to children about death and dying which you might find useful.
  • Winston's Wish is a charity which provides grief and bereavement support for children and young  people (up to 25) after the death of someone important, along with advice and support for the parents, carers and professionals supporting them.
  • Young Minds  has a page with information to help you support your child or young person with grief and loss. They've also got advice about where you can find grief support services.
