Local mental health and wellbeing website gets fresh new look

Cambridgeshire, Peterborough & Royston’s dedicated mental health and wellbeing support website www.Keep-Your-Head.com has relaunched with a refreshed new look, offering local people quicker, easier access to information on local mental health services and support available to them, or for those they care for.

Taking on board valuable feedback from local people across all ages with lived experience of mental health challenges, the new look website has been developed through a collaborative approach by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) partners including; NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, The SUN Network and local voluntary sector and community organisations.

Keep Your Head offers tailored, age-appropriate information for a wide range of audiences, including children and young people, adults, professionals and schools. The website provides relevant, accessible mental health and wellbeing support, advice and information on local services available.

Dr Emma Tiffin, mental health clinical lead at NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, said: “Keep Your Head website is the place to go to find information on local services, support for your own mental health and wellbeing challenges and advice on how to look out for others.

“The website reflects on feedback we’ve received through surveys and targeted focus groups from both those who currently use the website, alongside those who we hope will use it in the future. It’s easy to use, has reliable and up-to-date information, clearly signposted sections and is easily accessible whether visiting via a laptop or mobile device.”

www.Keep-Your-Head launched in 2016 and has become the go-to website for information on local mental health services and support for both local people and health professionals.  The website includes information on a wide range of topics including mental health, anxiety, stress, depression, alcohol and drugs, bullying, eating disorders, addiction, autism and ADHD.

Lois Sidney, Executive Director, The SUN Network said: “Keep Your Head is a fantastic, NHS funded website for local people to find out about trusted and up-to-date free mental health support that they can access without the need to see a GP. It’s also an invaluable resource for professionals who are looking to let patients know what their options for support are.”

In addition to www.Keep-Your-Head there are a number of other mental health and wellbeing services and support available across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Royston.

Local services include online support and information services, phone and text helplines, therapy and counselling and specialist help around bereavement, financial pressures and relationships. How Are You (H.A.Y) www.haycambspboro.co.uk is another fantastic local website that brings together information on activities and support available in your local community to help boost mental health and wellbeing.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need help, call NHS 111 and select the mental health option. Specially-trained mental health staff will speak to you and discuss your mental health care needs. This service is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.
