A new dashboard timeline has been added to the Shared Care Record this week to allow users to filter data by different time periods or by organisation and improve user experience. This update to the person summary dashboard provides an easy mechanism to sort data quickly and return results instantly.
The timeline filter bar can be found at the top of the dashboard screen. The default position is set to on; however, the timeline can be hidden if not required. It is an intuitive timeline that returns filtered data and provides a snapshot of a person’s journey. Users can highlight the time-period they are interested in by clicking directly into the timeline bar or choose a start and end date from the calendar (see below image).
(The height of each bar represents the volume of information available at that point in time).
Data can also be filtered by organisation by choosing a source from the drop-down list as shown in the image below. The default position is to show all organisations/sources available.
As a further measure to improve user experience, the inactivity timeout value has been increased to five minutes allowing users to comfortably read on-screen information for longer without being timed out and needing to login again.
